can be and nightmare. The ACT Teacher Quality Institute
has developed an online profile where you can record
and reflect on courses you complete conferences you attend

To access your profile simply log on to the TQI Teacher Portal
and off you go, it's as easy is that. In keeping with the implementation of the
Australian professional standards
continuing professional learning is now a requirement for registration renewal
teaches just like other professionals make a career long commitment
to build a knowledge explore new ideas
and develop new skills all for the benefit of students
and that's where professional learning really counts.
The ACT already has high levels of educational achievement
thanks to more than 7800 dedicated teachers
working in public independent and Catholic schools.
During each school year you will need to complete
at least 20 hours professional learning most teachers do much more than that
you choose which hour's to submit to TQI throughout the year.
But those 20 hours must be a combination
accredited programs the courses and conferences
run by schools employers and professional bodies and teacher
like mentoring programs and further study. That's good news
it means that some of that time you spend reading education journals
actually counts all though don't forget that
as well as recording your professional learning you also need to reflect on the
activities you want to count
and you can do it all quickly and easily using a portal.
For more information about the professional learning requirements

at the teacher portal.
