Our Vision

A high-quality teaching profession for the ACT.

This plan, approved by the Board in June 2022, outlines the strategic directions for 2022 – 2024 for the ACT Teacher Quality Institute.  The plan outlines the actions TQI is taking to transition in its second decade to a responsive regulator which appropriately recognises the professionalism of ACT teachers and respectfully supports and builds the status of our teachers.  The plan takes into account the requirements of the ACT Teacher Quality Institute Act 2010, the vision and values of the Board, along with the current local and national drivers for change within the quality and regulation of the teaching workforce.
