Maintaining Registration
It is a Legislative requirement that a TQI Registration or approval to teach must be in place in order to teach in a school in the ACT
Maintaining ongoing registration requires that you meet the following requirements.
- Have a current positive Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Abide by the TQI Code of Professional Practice and Conduct
- Record and reflect on 20 hours of professional learning each year
- Keep your contact and employment details up to date on the TQI Portal
- Apply to renew your registration during Term 1 and before 31 March, including payment of the annual application fee
- Advise TQI of any matters that may affect your registration including any changes to your WWVP registration
- If you hold provisional registration, progress to full registration within 5 years
- If you hold full registration, meet the Recency of Practice (RoP) requirements
